Fees and Medicare
Everything you need to know about cost before you book: session fees, assessment fees, Medicare rebates and how booking works. Sessions are held in person at Office 3, 88 Wilkinson Drive, Echuca, or by telehealth anywhere in Australia. No referral is needed to book as a private client. If anything here is unclear, get in touch and ask before you book.

Therapy sessions
$260 per hour, in person or by telehealth.
Individual therapy sessions are $260 for 50 minutes. This covers child and adolescent psychology, perinatal support and EMDR therapy, in person or by telehealth. If you aren’t sure which service fits, the first session is a chance to talk it through, with no obligation to book further sessions.
One rate applies to all therapy: $260 per hour. Telehealth sessions cost the same as in-person sessions, and extended EMDR sessions are charged at the same hourly rate however long the session runs.
Medicare
Rebates with a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Medicare rebates are available for therapy sessions with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. Medicare provider number: 3150504Y. Private clients are welcome too, and no referral is needed if you are not claiming a rebate.
To get a plan, book an appointment with your GP and ask about a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Once the plan is in place, Medicare rebates apply to your therapy sessions.
Your out-of-pocket cost after the rebate varies from person to person, depending on your individual circumstances, so it is worth asking when you enquire. If you provide all of your Medicare details, Aley can lodge the claim on your behalf through Halaxy.
Assessments
$260 per hour, total agreed first.
Assessments are charged at an hourly rate of $260. The hours cover every part of the work, not only the time your child spends being tested:
- Developmental intake appointment with the primary caregiver
- Consultation with schools, if indicated
- Face-to-face assessment sessions
- Scoring and interpretation
- Report writing
- Feedback session
Because the hours depend on scope, you are given a total before you commit. Scope, sessions and total cost are agreed before anything is booked, so there are no open-ended engagements. Schools
Consultancy quoted per engagement.
Professional learning and consultation for schools is quoted per engagement, because scope, travel and preparation vary too much for a rate card. You get a firm figure before you commit. Sessions are designed to map to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, so teachers can record them against their professional learning hours. See consultancy.
Booking
How booking works.
Sessions are booked through Halaxy. You can also call 0403 300 022, email aley@mantuapsychology.com.au, or send an enquiry through the contact page.
Payment. Payment is taken through Halaxy at the end of your session. Direct bank transfer and cash are also accepted, and invoicing is available for NDIS providers.
Cancellations. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or do not attend, a fee of 50% of the session fee applies.
